Terms and Conditions – Next MatchUp Real-Life Connection Platform

Welcome to Next MatchUp — a social connection platform designed to help you meet real people in real life, through matchmaking, creative meetups, and dinners with strangers.

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our platform, including our website, services, subscriptions, and events. By using Next MatchUp, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. Who We Are

Next MatchUp is a curated platform that connects people in 66+ cities across 26 countries for in-person experiences. We offer:

  • Matchmaking for Couples

  • Dinner with Strangers

  • Meetup with Creatives

We host bi-weekly events — every second and last Saturday of the month — and match participants based on interests, location, and preferences.

2. Eligibility

To use Next MatchUp, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Provide accurate and truthful information

  • Not impersonate another person or use fake identities

  • Not engage in any behavior deemed disrespectful or harmful during events

3. Your Account

You’re responsible for your account activity. Do not share your login credentials. If we detect suspicious behavior or rule violations, we reserve the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate your account

  • Withhold access to events or matches

You can delete your account at any time by contacting support.

4. Subscription & Payments

Access to our matchmaking and meetup services requires a monthly subscription, charged securely via Stripe.

  • All subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the next billing cycle.

  • Missed or failed payments will result in loss of access to matches and events.

  • No refunds are issued after payment unless required by law.

5. Matchmaking Rules

By signing up for matchmaking, you agree to:

  • Be respectful and communicative with matches

  • Only attend events you are assigned to

  • Avoid harassing, stalking, or spamming other users

  • Never use the platform for commercial solicitation or illegal activities

Matches are sent based on your profile, preferences, and location. While we aim to create meaningful connections, we do not guarantee compatibility or relationship outcomes.

6. Events & Liability

All events are held in public or partner venues (cafés, restaurants, co-working spaces). While we carefully select venues and facilitate a safe experience, Next MatchUp is not responsible for:

  • Venue conditions

  • Personal belongings

  • User behavior or disputes

  • Injury, loss, or damage during or after an event

You participate at your own risk.

7. Code of Conduct

At all times — online and in-person — you must:

  • Treat all participants with respect

  • Refrain from offensive, violent, or discriminatory behavior

  • Follow host instructions and event guidelines

Failure to follow the Code of Conduct may result in permanent ban.

8. Cancellations, No-Shows & RSVP

We understand plans can change. To ensure smooth coordination and a great experience for all attendees:

  • If you can’t attend an event, you must click “Not Attending” on your profile or event page at least 48 hours before the event.

  • This helps us reshuffle seating and notify any waitlisted users.

  • Repeated no-shows without marking “Not Attending” may result in temporary or permanent suspension from future events.

  • Refunds are not issued for missed events unless the event was canceled by Next MatchUp.

By showing respect for other participants’ time and commitment, you help maintain the quality of our real-life experiences.

9. Photos, Content & Testimonials

At Next MatchUp, we do not hire photographers or take official photos during events. Your privacy is respected at all times.

However, we love showcasing the real connections that happen through our platform. That’s why:

  • We will never require or pressure you to send us your photos

  • If you choose to share a photo, story, or testimonial, you grant us permission to use it on our website or social media

  • Shared content helps us promote positive awareness and show how real-life moments are created through our meetups

  • Any photos or testimonials used will be credited anonymously unless you ask otherwise

If at any point you change your mind or wish to remove a post, just contact us and we’ll take it down.

10. Data Protection & Privacy

We value your privacy. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information. In short:

  • We collect necessary data to match you with others and manage your subscription

  • Your data is stored securely and not sold to third parties

  • You can request account deletion and data removal at any time

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these Terms

  • You behave inappropriately at events

  • You use the platform for malicious or commercial purposes

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as our services evolve. We will notify you via email or on the platform. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
